Question:
Can I use the same chamber in an undercouch arrangement ?

Answer:
No. The KermaX® plus measuring system for this application must first be specially calibrated by the manufacturer. Please always quote the type of X-ray installation you have when placing an order.

Question:
Are Wellhoefer measuring systems suitable for use in paediatric radiology ?

Answer:
Yes. All our KermaX® plus “High Sensitivity” systems, IDP, SDP, , C and DDP,  with HS chambers are highly suited for paediatric X-ray applications.

Question:
Are our measuring systems compatible with RIS / HIS  systems ?

Answer:
All KermaX® plus measuring systems are compatible through their integrated RS 232 interfaces with RIS / HIS networks and can be easily connected. The integration into your existing system is carried out by your RIS / HIS provider. Prices for cables and interfaces can be taken from the current pricelist. Software drivers are not included in the price.  

Question:
Can additional filters be incorporated into our systems ?

Answer:
Yes. Using adaptors for Siemens or Philips installations together with additional extension rails, the majority of all currently used filters can employed.

Question:
When do I need  the additional extension rails shown in the pricelist ?

Answer:
When using additional filters with a minimum height of  3 mm  up to a maximum height of 23 mm.

Question:
Is a Constancy Test still possible using a Dose Area Product measuring device ?

Answer:
Yes. The adaptor for all currently available X-ray installations contains an accessory holder in which the patient equivalent filter can easily be mounted.

Question:
Is it possible to use alternating (Mains) current as the power source for Scanditronix Wellhoefer Dose Area Product measuring systems ?

Answer:
Yes. By use of the AC / DC mains adaptor (not direct).

Question:
Which type of X-ray installation can be equipped with a Dose Area Product measuring device from Scanditronix Wellhoefer ?

Answer:
Our measuring systems are modular in construction and can therefore be universally employed. Call us. Even for the most unusual systems we are sure to have a solution!

Question:
Is the connection of a printer to a KermaX® plus SDP/BT (Blue Tooth) system possible ?

Answer:
No. In this case you should use a standard KermaX® plus SDP where the connection of a printer is possible.

Question:
Can an older Dose Area Product measuring device be upgrated ?

Answer:
Generally speaking, the upgrating of an older device is possible. To obtain a formal offer, please get in touch with us so that we can confirm, whether or not, an upgrade is possible.

Must a new Dose Area Product measuring system be calibrated ?

Answer:
Please read the information on calibration procedures given on page 42 of our international product overview.
